Eidos and Warner Bros. Interactive just announced yesterday that they will be releasing a new Batman game titled Batman: Arkham Asylum. Fans of Batman will remember Arkham Asylum from 2005's excellent Batman Begins. However, the plot doesn't appear to be directly related to the movie.
According to the press release, you play as Batman as he's delivering the Joker to Arkham Asylum. But little does Batman know that the super-villains that are inside Arkham have set a trap for him. The story is written by Paul Dini, who has worked on a number of Batman animated series, along with Animaniacs, Justice League, and, more recently, ABC's Lost.
“Batman: Arkham Asylum offers players the chance to battle Gotham’s worst villains with Batman’s physical and psychological strength in a graphically distinct and story-driven game,†says Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. He goes on to describe the game as featuring "an incredibly dark interactive environment."

With an original script penned by Emmy Award-winning Batman writer Paul Dini, the game brings the universe of DC Comics’ detective to life with stunning graphics.
