There are some things money can't buy. (Such as a different design for your Nintendo Mii's shirt.) For everything else, there's the new Xbox Dashboard update coming this fall. Corporate VP at Microsoft John Schappert has almost confirmed that Microsoft will be charging for personalization items for your new Xbox Avatar that will be created when the new dashboard rolls out.
When asked if there would be microtransactions associated with the new avatars, Schappert said, "That may be in the future." Or, 'yes.' He goes on to say "Our goal is not to create a sterile environment where you move furniture around." Hmm... that sounds a little like The Sims....
